Advancement is one of the cornerstones of the Boy Scout and Cub Scout programs. Advancement helps maintain interest in the program and encourages boys to learn at their own pace.

The Advancement Committee promotes scout advancement through:

* Providing advancement opportunities, where appropriate
* Training leadership in proper advancement techniques
* Helping units set and achieve advancement goals
* Maintaining standards across the district
* Record keeping and goal setting
* Promoting Merit Badge Training including the Merit Badge Fair
* Supporting the training of the Merit Badge Counselors
* Providing training and advancement opportunities to the youth in our district
* Promoting adult awards

The Advancement Committee seeks your input and welcomes your assistance.
